2019 MercedesTrophy Dealer Golf Day.


The annual Ingham-Sears MercedesTrophy Retailer Golf Day was hosted at the Mt Maunganui Golf Club on Friday 22nd March 2019.

We were delighted to host our MercedesTrophy dealer golf day on the Mt Maunganui Golf Course, the premier course in the district with a pedigree of hosting many national and international amateur tournaments.

In perfect weather conditions, after 18 holes of competition, the scores were extremely close amongst the 68 competitors. The overall eligible winner on the day was David Cho from the Mt Maunganui GC on 39 points by count back over Bill Marshall Whangamata GC. David will represent Ingham-Sears at the MercedesTrophy New Zealand National Final at the Cape Kidnappers Resort, 26th – 28th April 2019.

Four previous World Final representatives from Team New Zealand played on the day – Stewart Browne (2016), Graeme Murphy (2010), Lyndsay Mulholland (2009), and Stuart Hale (2015).

For the daily prizes for two men’s handicap divisions and one ladies division. These winners included: -

Competitive Nearest to the Pin prizes on all of the Par 3 holes were awarded on the day, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. The winners included:-

As part of the Drive to the Major Competition, a Straightest Drive competition is also held on the day. The 12th hole at the Mt Maunganui GC was chosen for this competition, with both Suellen Baty and Adrian Baker hitting their golf balls right on the line.
